Hello, I came across a piece of news recently about the actress Jennifer Aniston whose dog (Dollie) passed away. It mentioned that her ex-husband went to meet her for the dog's funeral. To me that proves how important our dogs are for people without children. They become part of the 'family' and like children, they are much loved and missed when they are gone.

Hello Nancy. Yes I read that story too. Some in the media were trying to portray it as over the top. I totally get what you are saying. It may seem over the top to some but obviously not to Jennifer Aniston and her ex, and certainly not to you. Even though I am not a dog owner, throughout my life, I have met people like yourself for whom their dogs meant everything. When it comes to life choices, the phrase 'each to their own', really is true.

Yes, it is all about what makes us happy.

Absolutely. Life is too precious to care what other people think, when it comes to our life choices, particularly when those choices do not affect them. Thanks for sharing your experience as a dog lover on this platform.
